Tips for Admins of the Organization

A Organization-Admin administers the settings and users of a Organization. Basis: Understanding roles and rights.

Notes: *With the "Member" role, only the "Members" tab is visible. For organization admins all tabs of the organization settings. **If activated in the "Organization Settings". ***Regardless if the user is a member of a room that room group or not. ****In the organization settings an admin of the organization also sees the e-mail address used by the user.

Central control of the organization

  • Members Administration at organization level (User Roles, Deactivate or Remove, Add)
  • E-Mail Participants Administration
  • Echor internal guidelines (including security measures)
  • Manage contract information (e.g. invoices and package)
  • Statistics of the organization (used / free data volume, number of rooms and messages)

Use Cases

As an organization admin you can e.g (for the procedure see "possibilities as an organization admin" in the corresponding article):
  • Set who (admins / members) is allowed to create rooms and whether users with the "Members" role must use a room template to do this (Procedure: Organization Settings)
  • Call up an overview of all available rooms in an organization (Procedure: Organization Settings)
  • Change the right group of another member or your own, e.g. on room admin (Procedure: access to room settings)
  • Change the room group (Procedure: by clicking on the "three Points" button next to the room group), e.g. rename, delete and change color
  • Move a room to another room group (Procedure: by right-clicking on the room and "Move to Room Group")
  • Manage all active and blocked e-mail participants, as well as define "Who" (admins / members) is allowed to add e-mail participants and which contents are forwarded in the e-mail (Procedure: e-mail participant Management)
  • Specify "Who" may share files through a public link (Procedure: public Link)
  • If there are several organizations move a room to another organization (Procedure: by right clicking on the room and "Switch organizations")
Hint: If an organization admin is not a member of a room, he cannot add himself to the room for data protection reasons.
