New features with a new look

1 min read  •  October 19, 2014
We are continuously working on new features and visual improvements. Over the past days we have gradually introduced new elecements through which Stackfield has once again changed significantly. We have made following changes:

Collapsible columns

Organize your communication in folders.

Stackfield has been responsive before the update and adapted to the browser window, but once again we have optimized the usage of the available screen. Thus it is now possible to collapse the column on the right side if it’s not needed. This leaves more space in the center, which is needed by the calendar and apps that we will introduce soon.

Position of the App-Selection

Organize your communication in folders.

You can now select the Apps in the right column. The name of a Stack is now displayed at the top of each Stack. A click on the Stack name opens the dropdown menu, through which you can access Stack settings.

New App: Code-Snippets

Organize your communication in folders.

With the update, a new app is available for all users, which allows you to easily create and share code snippets. The app can be added to your Stacks in the Stack-settings. You can comment on code snippets like on each other item. Hence you can discuss different solutions within a Stack. The code snippet app is no available for all users, basic and pro.

Streaming content within Stackfield

Organize your communication in folders.

From now on content from YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud and Spotify can be played within Stackfield. Just share the link of the desired video / song in a Stack and hit the play button. (You still need a Spotify account to play a song!) Have fun with this feature – Give us a short notice if you are missing a streaming service!

Almost completed: The Android App

Organize your communication in folders.

We are aware that everyone is waiting for the mobile apps. Good news: We will soon publish the Android App. Our focus was on developing a fast App for communication purposes. Stay tuned!
